...Isaiah, though he lived 100 years earlier, may have helped Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo when they faced the fiery furnace? We know
the Hebrew king they grew up under, Josiah, found the Bible and read it to the people (II Chronicles 34:30) The three boys and Daniel were
royal kids and probably had to study the discovered Bible. (Daniel 1:3-4). Could it be, they remembered a verse Isaiah wrote before they
faced King Nebuchadnezzar? "When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord you God..."

... who Shiphrah and Purah were? You may know what they did, but few realize God gave us their names and the outcome of their faith.
These two women were the midwives who refused to kill the Jewish boy babies when commanded to do so by Pharaoh. Even when called before
him to answer for their actions, these women feared God more than men. Their faith and actions allowed Moses's mother to save her son by
placing him in a "basket boat." God later blessed Shiphrah and Purah with families of their own. (Exodus 1:15,21)
